Position Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Payroll Data Entry/HR Clerk to accurately input employee payroll data into our payroll system. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and precise compensation for all employees. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, proficiency in data entry, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Input employee work hours, overtime, leave balances, and other payroll-related information into the payroll system.
  • Verification: Cross-check entered data against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Record Maintenance: Update and maintain employee payroll records, including personal information, tax withholdings, and direct deposit details.
  • Compliance: Ensure all payroll data entry complies with company policies and legal requirements.
    Reporting: Assist in generating payroll reports and summaries as needed.
  • Communication: Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll data entry.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in accounting or business is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in data entry or payroll processing is preferred but not required.
    Prior experience with a payroll/ HR company such as ADP, Paychex, etc. is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with payroll software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
